Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Crane is the big cheese at Rave Restaurant Group, Inc. He joined Rave in January 2017, charged with driving culture, growth and success at both Pie Five Pizza Co. and Pizza Inn. An entrepreneur at an early age, Crane honed his food chops leading some of the most well-known brands in the industry. He most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Smashburger, where he led its development from a two-unit start up concept in 2007 to a global company with more than 330 locations. Previously, Crane was Executive Vice President at Fugate Enterprises, Inc., one of the largest Pizza Hut franchisees in the country, where he was responsible for the operation of 210 Pizza Hut units, in addition to Taco Bell, Wing Street, Sonic and Blockbuster Video locations.
Chief Financial Officer
As CFO of Rave Restaurant Group, Tim Mullany brings financial and strategic leadership to the company as well as a wealth of food industry experience. Prior to joining RAVE, Tim served as the CFO of Restaurants Unlimited, Inc., a company that owns and operates over 20 brands across 11 states including Palomino, Henry's Tavern, and Kincaid's, among others. Tim was also CFO of Smashburger and Consumer Capital Partners. He has also served as the CFO of an international retail brokerage and CEO of Mystic Entertainment Company, operating the Blue Turtle Restaurant chain. His other experience includes private equity investing at J.P. Morgan and investment banking at Banc of America Securities. Tim has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS from Villanova University.
President, Pizza Inn
Bob Bafundo, President of Pizza Inn, is an industry veteran with a passion for restaurants. With his proven abilities in building and inspiring strong teams, Bob has added renewed energy to Rave Restaurant Group’s flagship brand. Previously, Bob served as President of Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill. With a background in operations, Bob has worked through the ranks of both single and multi-unit operations with restaurants such as, KFC, Tin Star Southwest Grill, Back Yard Burgers and Rax Restaurants.
Vice President of Marketing, Pie Five Pizza Co.
Christina Coy, Vice President of Marketing for Pie Five Pizza Co. and self-proclaimed Queen of the Circle of Crust. When she’s not personally taste testing all pizza options and creating clever names for new pizza LTOs, she can be found creating brand marketing magic through everything from menu development, digital and in store marketing and guest engagement. Christina joined Pizza Inn in 2009 and was part of the team that created Pie Five in 2011. Prior to becoming a pizza aficionado, she spent 5 years at ad agencies working on QSR brands such as Domino’s and Popeye’s Chicken. Christina is a graduate of Texas A&M University, her first love, before Pie Five entered her life.
Vice President of Franchise Operations and Support, Pie Five Pizza Co.
At almost 6’7, Tim Breen understands an “elevated” customer experience. But, his goals as Vice President of Franchise Operations and Support for Pie Five Pizza Co. are anything but pie in the sky. With an extensive background with franchise operations for company’s such as Steak n’ Shake, Carlson Restaurants Worldwide (TGI Friday’s) and Walt Disney World Resorts, Breen has been instrumental in scaling the operations and training processes for the growing fast casual pizza brand.
Vice President of Restaurant Development
Chris Heiser is used to building excitement! As the Director of Construction for Rave Restaurant Group, Inc., Chris knows the pie’s the limit when managing construction projects for all Pie Five and Pizza Inn restaurants in development. With 25 years of experience with companies like Fossil Watch Company, where he developed nearly 150 retail and outlets locations, Filtrexx International, where he developed sustainable technology products for the construction industry and St. Ives Realty, where he spearheaded the ground-up construction of major retail shopping centers ranging in size from 15,000 to 30,000 square feet, Chris has the tools to manage the continued expansion schedules for both brands.
Vice President of Information Technology
Want to talk tech? David Roberts, Vice President of IT for Rave, is the man with the plan. With over 20 years’ experience in leading IT teams, developing retail technology solutions and implementing new platforms. Roberts is charges with delivering break-through technology results that translate into achieving critical goals for both Rave brands. He joined Rave after a 16 year stint with TGIFridays where he served as Senior Manager of In-Store Solutions and won the TGIFridays Myrna “True Believer” Award from his peers for exemplary leadership.
Vice President of Franchise Development
Brett Heinen likes to think big especially when it comes to expanding Pie Five and Pizza Inn around the country. Brett has extensive experience in the franchising and hospitality industry. During his tenure as Director of Franchise Sales at Dickey’s Barbecue, his teams ranked #1 for growth and performance in publications such as Technomic, QSR and Nation's Restaurant News. He personally sold over 250 individual units throughout the country, working both small and very large transactions. Additionally, Brett brings experience as a franchisee. He was a founding member of an area development group that purchased the rights to the Houston Region for the Golden Chick brand.
